Batch B07 — Electronics bay + lighting¶
One page per step
Read this chapter one step per page — big pictures, prev/next, and the same tick marks. This page is the whole chapter in one scroll.
Time: 16.0 h (2 plates) — PrusaSlicer 2.9.6 estimates.
Sessions: 2 plate starts (~5 min hands-on each, 7.9 / 8.1 h unattended) + ~15 min inspect and bin.
Prerequisites: Gate A passed (Step B00.5). Nothing here has a bearing seat or rail fit. It does not depend on B01–B06 (the electronics bay is independent of the mechanical gantry); its heat-set bosses get their inserts on kit day, in Ch 09.

LDO Build Notes say "PAGE 169 SKIP — the kit does not use a support bracket," which most likely refers to this part. It is 4 g — print it, fit only if it's actually needed.
Do not print: raspberrypi_bracket.stl, beefy_raspberry_bracket.stl, rs25_psu_bracket.stl
(Leviathan carries the Pi, no 5 V PSU in this kit); the Leviathan bracket set or the bed WAGO mount (both
supplied printed).
Hardware: none.
Read first
- Checkpoint after B07: COB mount halves flat on the reference and closing flush on their 2× M3×6 FHCS. The Wago mount's heat-set bosses get their inserts on kit day (Ch 09), not here.
- Most commonly reprinted here:
cob_light_strip_mount_100mm— warps at the ends, check flatness on glass. - COB counts are LDO's own for a 2.4-350: 6× 100 mm + 2× 50 mm. Each STL contains a 2-piece assembly joined with 2× M3 heat-sets + 2× M3×6 FHCS — the heaviest single group of "small" parts in the build (127 g on P2 alone).
Step B07.1 — Filament prep¶
Do: Galaxy Black, spool #2 after B06. The ledger has 652 g on it here, 550 g after P1 and 426 g after P2, so no runout in this batch. Sheet per 00-slicer-setup § Print sheet.
Check
Clean purge; ≥226 g on spool #2 for the two plates.

Step B07.2 — Load plate B07-P1¶
Sorting diagram, drawn from the committed project: every part numbered and filled in the colour of its bin, bin id on the part; the legend reads # · STL · bin (chapter · steps). Sort at Step B07.7.
Do: Open slicer/plates/B07-P1.3mf with File → Open Project. The arrangement, brims and overrides
are already in it. Confirm it loaded as described rather than rebuilding it.
Parts: wago_221-415_mount_3by5 · lrs_200_psu_bracket_x2 ×2 · PSU_stabilizer_50mm · usb_adapter_mount · usb_adapter_mount_partial_cover ×1 (ground-lug mount, est.) · pcb_din_clip_x3 ×3 · handlebar_spacer_x4 ×4 · power_inlet_IECGS_1mm · 8 files, 14 objects — 7.9 h, 102 g (PrusaSlicer 2.9.6 estimate) · 3 mm brim on wago_221-415_mount_3by5 and power_inlet_IECGS_1mm (the long-flat list), already in the project.
Check
No face re-orientation, all flat as shipped; the preview shows a brim outline on the Wago mount and the inlet.
Helper: Counts the parts on the sorting diagram and checks the total against the object count.

Step B07.3 — Print plate B07-P1¶
Do: Print with standing overrides.
Check
Before start, Settings → Chamber Filtration reads Adv. Filtration. Clean first layer across the inlet's full 118 mm; no corner lift.
Tip
Paused or stopped mid-plate? See When the printer stops.
Good stopping point · ~5 min since the last one
plate started; nothing to do until it finishes.

Step B07.4 — Load plate B07-P2¶
Sorting diagram, drawn from the committed project: every part numbered and filled in the colour of its bin, bin id on the part; the legend reads # · STL · bin (chapter · steps). Sort at Step B07.7.
Do: Open slicer/plates/B07-P2.3mf with File → Open Project. The arrangement, brims and overrides
are already in it. Confirm it loaded as described rather than rebuilding it.
Parts: cob_light_strip_mount_100mm ×6 · cob_light_strip_mount_50mm ×2, eight mounts total, each a 2-piece assembly — 8.1 h, 124 g (PrusaSlicer 2.9.6 estimate) · 3 mm brim on the six 100 mm mounts, already in the project (long-flat brim list), none on the two 50 mm mounts.
Check
Brim outline on the six 100 mm mounts only; eight mounts on the plate and nothing else.
Helper: Names the bin colour of each part on the sorting diagram while you open the project.

Step B07.5 — Print plate B07-P2¶
Do: Print with standing overrides.
Check
Watch for end-lift on the 100 mm mounts partway through: this is the batch's known warp risk.
Tip
Paused or stopped mid-plate? See When the printer stops.
Good stopping point · ~5 min since the last one
plate started; nothing to do until it finishes.
Source: 00-slicer-setup § Overrides · print plan §4.1 — how these numbers were produced
Step B07.6 — Inspect¶
Do:
- Lay each COB mount pair on the granite reference and dry-fit the two halves by hand.
- Check the Wago mount's heat-set bosses are crisp and round.
Check
No rocking on the flat reference; halves close flush; bosses undamaged.
Good stopping point · ~15 min since the last one
every mount checked on the reference, brims snapped off, nothing assembled.

Step B07.7 — Sort into bins¶
Do: Sort off each plate diagram; the printed bin id names the bin. Mark plate id and date on a hidden face. Labels: bin-labels sheet. The inlet lives in 09-bay, only borrowed for the skirt-ring dry-fit at Step 11.1.

| bin | parts off this plate |
|---|---|
| 10-lights — COB light-strip mounts | cob_light_strip_mount_100mm ×6, cob_light_strip_mount_50mm ×2 |
Check
COB mounts counted, six 100 mm and two 50 mm, in 10-lights; power_inlet_IECGS_1mm in 09-bay.
Helper: Reads each bin label aloud and checks the count against the diagram.
Good stopping point · ~10 min since the last one
both plates sorted into 08-CW2, 09-bay, 10-lights and 11-finish, the spare usb_adapter_mount in spare-alt. No heat-set inserts yet; Ch 09 sets them on kit day.

Checkpoint B07¶
- COB mount halves close flush on 2× M3×6 FHCS, all eight assemblies
- COB mounts checked flat on granite reference — no rocking
- Wago mount heat-set bosses crisp (inserts go in at Ch 09)
-
PSU_stabilizer_50mmfit decision made (verify against actual PSU) -
power_inlet_IECGS_1mmoff B07-P1 flat, brim snapped off cleanly, binned for Ch 09
Common mistakes¶
- Printing
raspberrypi_bracketorrs25_psu_bracketout of habit from other Voron builds — this kit needs neither. - Skipping the flat-reference check on COB mounts and only discovering warp at final assembly.
Next¶
Assembly: Electronics (p.148–173), Controller (p.174–179), Wiring (p.180–211) — on kit day, out of bins 09-bay and 10-lights; the USB adapter cover waits in 08-CW2 for Ch 08 and the handlebar spacers in 11-finish. Printing: straight on to B08 — Skirts and front modules.
