- M4 knurled thumb nut ×4 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box
Do: Stand one M4 thumb nut over each T-nut, knurl up, bore concentric with the T-nut thread. Do not thread anything into the thumb nut; the M3 bolt passes straight through its bore.
Check
Four thumb nuts standing on the extrusions, none tipped, each aligned with the T-nut under it and all four the same height.
What you're looking at
Manual p.58: four knurled thumb nuts, used as spacers rather than nuts. They hold the plate a fixed height above the extrusion; the bolt passes through the thumb nut's bore into the T-nut below. Any substitute must be the same length and heat-resistant.
