Step 03.8 — Clean the top face¶

Parts:
- build plate · set out now, fitted later
- IPA · consumable
- lint-free cloth · consumable
- nitrile gloves · consumable
Do: Wipe the whole top face with IPA and let it flash off completely, so no solvent is trapped under the adhesive. Wear gloves from here on.
Check
Surface dry, no lint, no residue in the counterbores.
Helper Holds the plate flat on the towel and checks afterwards for missed patches.
What you're looking at
The top face, IPA and a lint-free cloth. Oil, dust or a fingerprint left on the surface becomes a permanent bump under an adhesive sheet you cannot lift again.
