Step 05.14 — Load the reserved M5 + M3 pair at each end¶

- M5 T-nut ×4 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box
- M3 T-nut ×4 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box
Do: At each end of each C extrusion add one M5 T-nut and one M3 T-nut into the rail's own slot, in the bare 25 mm beyond each rail end: M5 outermost, M3 just inboard. Not the top slot.
Check
Per end: 2× M5 in the top slot, 1× M5 and 1× M3 in the rail slot beyond the rail end.
Helper Checks every extrusion end: two M5 on top, one M5 and one M3 in the rail slot.
What you're looking at
Another M5 and M3 nut at each end, in the rail's own slot, the underside of the Y axis. Both anchor the Ch 06 Z joint bearing block and lower belt clip; the idler and drive frames close these slots permanently.
