Parts:
- zip tie, 3×150 mm ×1 · consumable
Do: Fold the tail back on itself and zip-tie it to the running belt. Leave enough tail to re-clamp once if the tension comes out wrong, so do not cut it flush yet. Trim the zip-tie tail flush.
Check
The folded tail cannot flap into a pulley or panel, and nothing rubs as you move the gantry by hand.
What you're looking at
The leftover belt past the clamp. Folded back and zip-tied it cannot flap into a pulley or a panel; left long rather than cut flush, it gives you one free re-clamp if the tension comes out wrong.
Good stopping point · ~40 min since the last one
all four Z idlers extended, top clamps loosened, and the first Z belt routed, clamped at both ends, trimmed and tied. Never stop with a belt half-routed: finish the corner you are on.
