Parts:

  • bowden_retainer ×1 · bin 11-spool
  • M3 hammerhead T-nut ×1 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box
  • M3×8 SHCS ×1 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box
  • PTFE tube, 4 mm OD, 3 mm ID, 1.2 m · consumable

Do:

  1. Nut in its recess, M3×8 started; slide onto the top rear extrusion beside the notch.
  2. Cut two 86 mm spool-holder lengths off the PTFE.
  3. Run the rest from the round hole to the Clockwork 2 inlet; tighten.

check Check

Retainer solid on the extrusion; the PTFE passes through with light drag only; no sharp bend where the tube leaves the retainer.

What you're looking at

The bowden retainer sits on the top rear extrusion and overhangs the back. It holds the spool end of the reverse-bowden PTFE that carries filament to the Clockwork 2. With the back panel on, the tube crosses it through the exhaust cover's coupler.

Caution

The back panel is still off, so the tube drops straight in for Ch 13. At 11.55 it is re-routed in through the exhaust cover's coupler, the way p.258 loops it into the housing. Do not shorten it until then (verify on bench).
