Parts:
- one dried rail · set out now, fitted later
- Super Lube 21030 · consumable
- 10 ml syringe with a blunt tip, or the tube nozzle · tool
Do:
- Flip the rail so the carriage faces downwards.
- Slide the carriage over one of the rail's mounting holes and force grease through it.
- Keep going until grease oozes out at both end caps of the carriage.
Check
Grease visible at both end caps of the carriage. The carriage now runs smooth and silent along the rail with no notchiness.
What you're looking at
Grease prepared in a syringe, and grease forced into a carriage through one of the rail's mounting holes. This is LDO's flip-and-pack method: upside down, the mounting hole lines up with the ball tracks, so grease reaches the bearings without taking the carriage apart.
