Step 05.46 — Bag what belongs to later chapters

Step 46 of 48 with a helper · Chapter 05 — Gantry: X and Y axes, XY joints, X carriage, titanium backers

Parts:

  • M3×30 SHCS ×2 · set out now, fitted later
  • [a]_endstop_pod_D2F_switch ×1 · set out now, fitted later
  • [a]_cable_cover ×1 · set out now, fitted later

Do:

  1. Bag the endstop pod with its 2× M3×30 SHCS, labelled.
  2. Bag the [a]_cable_cover and the unused bridge variant separately.

Two labelled bags; nothing loose on the bench that Ch 06 or Ch 07 will need.

helperHelper Labels the two bags and writes what is inside each one.

What you're looking at

The XY endstop pod is the blue box carrying the X and Y limit switches on the right XY joint. The renders show both either/or choices pulled apart: the D2F pod and 2-hole bridge are kept, the hall-effect pod and 3-hole bridge are not.
