Step 06b.9 — Partially loosen the X/Y joints¶

Do: At each XY joint, loosen only the three bolts clamping it to the X beam: two BHCS from above, one M5×30 and washer from below. Both sides. Loose enough to slide by hand, no looser. Voron step 8.1.
Check
Each X/Y joint slides along its extrusion under firm hand pressure, and nothing else was loosened.
What you're looking at
The three bolts that clamp each XY joint to the X beam: two BHCS from above and one M5×30 with its black washer from below. Loosened just enough, each joint slides along the X extrusion, and that is how the gantry's width is adjusted.
