Step 07.25 — Fix the belts, lightly¶

Do: Run the two M3×8 SHCS into the right carriage half. "Lightly tighten the screws. The belt must still be able to move." You must still be able to pull belt through the clamp.
Check
You can still draw belt through the clamp by hand with moderate effort.
What you're looking at
Deliberately loose. The clamp still has to let belt be pulled through, because the next steps take the slack out of both loops by pulling on these tails. Tighten now and you lock the slack in.
