Already on the bench

  • the fan adapter PCB
  • the hotend fan, 5015 and LED chain leads

Parts:

  • Nitehawk-SB V2 ×1 · Electronics 2 box
  • CW2 PCB Spacer ×1 (supplied printed) · Electronics 2 box
  • M3×8 SHCS ×2 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box

Do:

  1. Sit the PCB spacer against the CW2 side, the toolboard on top, two M3×8 SHCS.
  2. Trap the supplied ground cable's ring lug under the lower M3×8 head, at the bottom corner nearest the motor (verify on bench — the photo, not LDO's prose, is the source).

check Check

The board sits parallel on its spacer, the 10-pin header faces forward, and the ground lug is under a screw head, tail free.

What you're looking at

The Nitehawk-SB V2 toolboard is the larger board in this photo; the triangular board beside it is the Stealthburner Fan Adapter, fitted next. The two mate through a keyed board-to-board header when the blue body closes. The printed spacer sets the standoff.

tip Tip

handle the board by its edges. A screw that will not start means a cocked insert. The ground wire's motor end waits for Step 08.53.
