Step 10.12 — Bed harness into the bed WAGO breakout¶
Step 12 of 80 · Chapter 10 — Wiring and Checkpoint #1
Parts:
- the plate's Bed L, Bed N and BED TH leads and its PE ring terminal · already on the bench
- Bed L extension lead ×1 · the Cable Kit box
- Bed N extension lead ×1 · the Cable Kit box
- the bed WAGO mount with its two WAGO 221-412 and the 2×2 XH splicer · already on the bench
Do:
- Bed L and extension into the first WAGO, N and Bed N into the second, BED TH into the 2×2 splicer.
- Loosen the M4×6 BHCS three turns, slide the PE ring under the serrated washer, retighten.
Check
L, N, PE and TH leave the bed WAGO mount. Ring terminal will not rotate by hand; plate lifts 20 mm with no lead tight.
What you're looking at
Four things leave the build plate: the heater pad's two mains leads, its earth ring terminal and the bed thermistor. The bed WAGO mount, above the deck on the left bed extrusion, joins the leads to the kit's extensions; the 2×2 splicer does the thermistor.
Never L and N in one block
each 2-way WAGO is one node, so a block is all-Live or all-Neutral. Do not take the M4×6 BHCS out; back it out three turns only. It is the screw Step 03.6 left in place for this moment.
Layout v3
the round deck hole carries mains only, so the splicer's TH cable goes over the deck to the Z-chain notch at 10.44. LDO layout: it drops through the round hole with the bed leads. LDO § Wiring the bed heater
