Parts:

  • z_chain_bottom_anchor ×1 · bin 10-chains
  • M5 roll-in T-nut ×1 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box
  • M5×10 BHCS ×1 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box

Do:

  1. After 10.64, dry-fit the anchor's channel over the chain and keep the extrusion where it runs straight at both Z extremes (verify on bench).
  2. M5 T-nut into that slot, chain into the channel, M5×10 BHCS through.

check Check

Through full Z travel: the chain slides through the anchor without snagging, the loop stays open at the bottom, nothing stretches at the top.

What you're looking at

The bottom anchor is a printed clip with an open channel: the chain runs through it, so it is a mid-run keeper, not a chain end. p.203 shows it bolted to a horizontal extrusion, the chain passing vertically through its channel.

tip Tip

p.203 gives the fastener, not the extrusion. The candidates are the frame's rear-bottom extrusion and the gantry's rear beam; the dry-fit decides.
