  • [a]_z_chain_retainer_bracket ×1 · bin 10-chains
  • M3×12 SHCS ×2 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box
  • M3×10 FHCS ×2 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box
  • zip ties, 2 · consumable

Do:

  1. Bolt the bracket to the A drive with two M3×12 SHCS and the chain's upper end into its inserts with two M3×10 FHCS.
  2. Guide the wire bundle behind the Z belt and over the A drive, zip-tied.

check Check

Move the gantry through full Z travel. The bundle never touches the Z belt and the chain's top end never twists.

What you're looking at

The blue [a]_z_chain_retainer_bracket bolts to the A drive at the top of the loop and carries the chain's moving end up and down with the gantry. The manual page also fixes the wire path: behind the Z belt and over the drive.

pause Good stopping point · ~35 min since the last one

X, Y and Z chains all mounted at both ends, A/B motor cables bundled, retainer bracket on the A drive. Chains are empty and latched. Do not part-fill a chain and walk away — the next segment fills all three in one go.
