Step 11.16 — Drop in the fan module and close the side run¶
Step 17 of 67 with a helper · Chapter 11 — Skirts, panels, Clicky-Clack door, filtration
Parts:
- the right-hand fan support with both fans · already on the bench
- M5×10 BHCS ×1 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box
- this side's M5 T-nut · already on the bench
Do:
- Slide the support into the gap from outside, grills out, leads into the bay.
- Push the skirts against it to close both joints.
- Drive the M5×10 BHCS up into the M5 T-nut, then tighten this run.
Check
The whole side one band with flush joints, both fans spinning freely, no lead trapped between the support and the extrusion.
Helper Holds the fan support in the gap, grills out, while you drive the M5 screw.
What you're looking at
The right-hand fan support from 11.11, both fans in it, is the middle segment of the side run. It is trapped rather than screwed at its ends, so pushing the two skirts against it closes both joints.
