Step 11.54 — Fit the exhaust cover and grill¶

- M3 heat-set insert ×2 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box

Do:
- Press an insert into each small cover hole from the boss side.
- Thread the coupler into the centre hole from the flat side.
- Grill flange inside, cover outside; drive both M3×12 from inside into the inserts.
Check
Notch closed from both faces with no light through it, the boss in the grill's centre cell, both side ribs in the notch, coupler snug.
What you're looking at
The grill goes inside: its thin flange sits behind the panel and its honeycomb fills the notch, flush with the outer face. LDO's exhaust_cover closes it from outside, its centre boss nesting in the grill's middle cell, its threaded hole taking the PTFE coupler.
Caution
Rev D+ / LDO: "PAGE 250-253 & 256 SKIP — Please follow our guide for Nevermore mod." The cover replaces p.256's housing and p.255's mounts: two inserts for the grill screws, two tabs bolted to the extrusion at 11.55. LDO publishes no step for it; this fit comes from the STL (verify on bench). src · src
