Step 11.66 — Final seal and clearance check¶
Step 67 of 67 with a helper · Chapter 11 — Skirts, panels, Clicky-Clack door, filtration
Parts:
- 6 mm extrusion slot cover, optional · consumable
Do:
- Peel any film. Close the door and check every seam for daylight.
- Push the gantry through full XY and Z by hand; nothing should touch.
- Confirm the touchscreen, AC switch, keystone and spool arm are clear.
Check
No daylight at any panel seam or around the door, no contact in full XY or Z travel, the door latching with one push.
Helper Runs a finger round every panel seam and calls out any gap found.
What you're looking at
Nothing to fit. This is the whole enclosure as one object: five panels, a door, a skirt ring and a screen, all of which have to seal without touching anything that moves. The chamber temperature Ch 14's ASA work depends on is decided here.
Tip
trim and press the optional 6 mm slot cover into any empty extrusion slots you want to hide.
Good stopping point · ~15 min since the last one
hammerhead nuts thread-locked, every seal and clearance checked, machine closed. Ready for Checkpoint 11.
