Parts: none.
Do:
- Send
SET_STEPPER_ENABLE STEPPER=stepper_x ENABLE=0andSET_STEPPER_ENABLE STEPPER=stepper_y ENABLE=0, neverM84. - Push the toolhead by hand to the front-left corner. If it binds before the nozzle reaches the corner, stop.
M112ready,G28 X Y, then jog to X0 Y0, watching for skipping near the corner.
Check
The nozzle sits over the plate, within about 5 mm of the front-left corner, with no skipping on the way.
What you're looking at
0,0 is the machine's origin: the nozzle position Klipper calls X0 Y0. It is set indirectly, by telling each axis how far its endstop sits from that origin, which is why position_endstop and position_max always move together.
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Nozzle too far into the bed | Increase position_endstop and position_max together, on that axis only. +2 mm on [stepper_x] moves 0,0 2 mm left |
| Nozzle beyond the bed edge | Decrease both together |
Tip
binding before the corner is racking or a mechanical fault, not a config problem. FIRMWARE_RESTART after any config edit, then re-check.
