Step 13.32 — PROBE_ACCURACY hot — the gate on everything downstream¶
Step 32 of 54 · Chapter 13 — Initial startup
(no image — see text)
Parts: none.
Do: With the printer at temperature, G0 X175 Y175 Z10 F6000 and run PROBE_ACCURACY again.
Check
σ < 0.003 mm and no trend across the ten samples.
What you're looking at
The same ten-probe repeatability test as Step 13.28, now hot. This is the gate: a probe still drifting will make gantry levelling report success while leaving the gantry tilted, and every measurement downstream inherits that error.
Caution
Do not run QGL until this passes. A drifting probe produces a QGL that looks like it converged and is not level. If the values are still drifting, wait another 5 minutes and repeat. Write down how long it took to stabilise: that is your print-start soak time from now on. (survey §4.4 #16)
