Ch 13 › Part J — Bed mesh38 / 54

Step 13.38 — Confirm the [bed_mesh] section from Ch 12

Step 38 of 54 · Chapter 13 — Initial startup

(no image — see text)

Parts: none.

Do: Open printer.cfg, confirm the [bed_mesh] section from Ch 12 Step 12.34 is present and unchanged, then FIRMWARE_RESTART. Do not retype it here.

check Check

grep -A4 '^\[bed_mesh\]' ~/printer_data/config/printer.cfg returns the block, Klipper comes back Ready, and BED_MESH_CLEAR is accepted at the console.

What you're looking at

Nothing to build here. [bed_mesh] is one config section, owned by Ch 12, and this step only confirms it survived. PRINT_END calls BED_MESH_CLEAR, which is why a missing section shows up as a console warning at the end of every print rather than as a failure.

tip Tip

the LDO config ships no [bed_mesh] section at all, so PRINT_END prints Unknown command:"BED_MESH_CLEAR" until one exists. A rejected section is a range error: fix it in Ch 12, not here. (survey §4.4 #15)
