Parts:

  • 6×3 mm neodymium magnet ×4 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box
  • brush bracket, mirrored ×1 · bin 13-scrubber
  • purge bucket, mirrored ×1 · bin 13-scrubber
  • Bambu A1 heatbed nozzle wiper ×1 · bin 13-scrubber, bought at Ch 00

  • digital caliper · tool

Do:

  1. Press two magnets into the bracket's underside, then the bucket's two, each attracting the one above it.
  2. Press the wiper into its seat, bristles up.
  3. Caliper bracket base to bristle tips, then the bucket's height.

check Check

Both readings within 0.2 mm of the printout's inspect line. The bucket hangs square and the magnets sit flush.

helperHelper Tests each magnet pair and hands them over the right way up.

What you're looking at

Two caliper readings prove the parts match the decision before anything goes on the machine. The bucket hangs under the bracket on four magnets, so it lifts off for emptying.

Caution

A reading more than 0.2 mm off means the wrong file or a bad print. Reprint before anything goes on the machine.

tip Tip

The pockets are drawn for ASA shrinkage, so the magnets press in. Any that falls out gets a drop of super glue.
