Gather for this segment — steps 00.12–00.13 (~35 min)
Tools and consumables
- printed hardware trays A, B and C
- LDO brass M3 heat-set tip
- soldering iron, cold
- one M3×5×4 kit insert as the tongue gauge, back in tray C after
Set out for later steps
- Fasteners, Tools & Misc box
Parts:
- Fasteners, Tools & Misc box · set out now, fitted later
- printed hardware trays A, B and C · tool
Do:
- Read each bag against a compartment label: thread, length and head must all match.
- Tip the whole bag in, corners included.
- Flatten the empty bag and keep it in the kit box as a spare.
Check
Every compartment holds one size, matching its label. Every bag is empty, flat and in the kit box.
Helper Reads each bag's label aloud and points to the compartment with the same label.
What you're looking at
The Fasteners, Tools & Misc box and the three printed hardware trays. Each compartment's label gives size, head and kit count. Mixing sizes is easy and un-mixing them is not: M3×8, M3×12 and M3×16 differ only by a few millimetres of shank.
Tip
between sessions, stack the trays; each closes the one below. Motion bags stay sealed in their box: bearings, pulleys, idlers and shafts have no compartment.
