Kit day¶
Note · Chapter 00 — Before you start
The day the cartons land, in this order: Step 00.1 (open the cartons), then the two kit-day rows of Gate B (Step B00.7, ~10 min — a 625-2RS and an MGN12 rail out of carton 1 ahead of the count: the bearing thumbed into z_drive_retainer_a, MGN12_rail_guide slid onto the rail; the caliper and insert rows passed months ago), then 00.2–00.7 (batch BOM, inventory, deck caliper, board check, LDO-supplied parts, kit tools), 00.12 (fastener bags emptied into the printed trays) and 00.17–00.22 (rail prep — the grease and IPA from Step 00.9 must already be on the bench). Nothing goes on the Prusa: all 22 plates are printed and in their bins. The log from Step 00.30 gets the deck thickness and the inventory result today — and if the deck panel calipers 4 mm rather than 3 mm, the deck_support_4mm reprint is the one plate the build still owes (8 g, 30 min). Rail prep is the one kit-day job with a wait state — the IPA dry — so start it as soon as the inventory is done.
