Step 08.51 — Chamber thermistor into CT, then close the LDO cable cover

Step 51 of 65 · Chapter 08 — Toolhead: Stealthburner, Clockwork 2, Revo HF, Nitehawk-SB V2

Parts:

  • cw2_captive_pcb_cover.stl ×1 · bin 08-CW2
  • M3×6 captive screw ×1 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box
  • chamber thermistor, pre-terminated ×1 · the LDO kit, no BOM row

Do: Plug the external chamber thermistor into CT, JST-PH2.0 2-pin, signal PB2. Fit LDO's cw2_captive_pcb_cover over the board and close it with the M3×6 captive screw. Open the filament latch if the bolt pocket is obscured.

check Check

Cover closed with the captive screw, thermistor bead sitting in its external holder and not touching plastic or the hotend.

What you're looking at

CT takes the chamber thermistor, which measures the air inside the enclosure rather than any heater. LDO's cover closes the board and holds that thermistor's bead in the chamber air away from the hotend, so it reads the chamber and not the toolhead's waste heat.

Caution

Rev D+ / LDO: this cover replaces the stock Clockwork2/cable_door.stl from SB p.33–34. That part is on the "deliberately not printed" list for this build. src
