Ch 08 › F — Probe56 / 65

Step 08.56 — The LDO nozzle probe is built in Ch 09 — not here

Step 56 of 65 · Chapter 08 — Toolhead: Stealthburner, Clockwork 2, Revo HF, Nitehawk-SB V2

Parts: none.

Do: Nothing. Leave the nozzle-probe bag closed and labelled for Ch 09. Its cable lands on the Leviathan's Z-ENDSTOP, never on the toolboard, so there is no toolhead-side work on it at all.

check Check

The nozzle-probe bag is still sealed and labelled for Ch 09.

What you're looking at

The LDO nozzle probe is this kit's Z endstop: a sprung shaft on a microswitch, mounted on the frame, that the nozzle is driven down onto. Z zero is a measurement of the real nozzle tip, so changing a nozzle does not invalidate it.

Boundary: Ch 09 Steps 09.27–09.29 own the assembly and 09.30 the mounting (2× M3×25 SHCS into the bed extrusion's side slot); Ch 10 lands the cable. If LDO changes the assembly, correct Ch 09 and keep this pointer.

Caution

Rev D+ / LDO: LDO's nozzle probe replaces the official Voron endstop and uses LDO's own printed part — nozzle_probe.stl and nozzle_probe_ldo.stl are both on the do-not-print list because the part is supplied. src

pause Good stopping point · ~10 min since the last one

the probe decision is recorded, the inductive probe is confirmed on the carriage from Ch 07, and the nozzle-probe bag is still closed for Ch 09. The Klicky bag stays closed. Do not open either bag to "get ahead": the nozzle probe is built at its mounting location in Ch 09.
