Step 08.58 — Hang the Clockwork 2 on the carriage, first bolt¶

Parts:
- the CW2 assembly with its toolboard · already on the bench
- M3×8 SHCS ×1 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box
Do: Offer the CW2 up to the X carriage so its hooks engage the carriage and the extruder hangs plumb. Start one M3×8 SHCS in the accessible position and take it to snug.
Check
The extruder is supported by the carriage, not by your hand, and it is not rotated.
Helper Holds the carriage steady at mid-travel while you start the first bolt.
What you're looking at
The extruder hooks onto the X carriage and hangs from it, held by two M3×8. Until the first one is snug the carriage is taking the weight through your hand, and a toolhead let go on a half-started bolt lands on the bed.
