Step 08.60 — Plug in the toolhead cable¶
Step 60 of 65 · Chapter 08 — Toolhead: Stealthburner, Clockwork 2, Revo HF, Nitehawk-SB V2
Parts:
- toolhead cable, USB and 24 V, XT30(2+2) ×1 · Cable Kit 2.4-350 box
Do: With the extruder on the carriage, plug the toolhead cable into its XT30 connector, D+ / D− / GND / 24V. Do not plug the other end into anything yet; the USB adapter is wired in Ch 10.
Check
Connector fully home and audibly seated. The free end is coiled and labelled, not dangling into the bed area.
What you're looking at
The umbilical is the single cable carrying USB data and 24 V to the toolhead, on an XT30 connector: two large power pins and two small signal pins in one shell. LDO's guide holds this connection until the extruder is on the carriage.
