Step 08.61 — Slide the tool cartridge into place¶

Parts:
- the tool cartridge with its four M3×8 studs · already on the bench
Do: Lift the tool cartridge up into the toolhead from below so its four M3×8 bolt heads engage the CW2's keyholes, then let it settle. Feed the hotend's heater and thermistor leads up past the extruder as it goes.
Check
The cartridge hangs squarely with the nozzle centred, and it cannot drop out. The PTFE has picked up the extruder's filament path.
What you're looking at
The tool cartridge slides up from below and its four stud heads drop into keyholes in the Clockwork 2, which makes the hotend a swappable unit rather than something bolted in. As it rises, the PTFE picks up the extruder's filament path.
