Step 10.3 — Confirm the Leviathan voltage-selection jumpers are off

Step 3 of 80 · Chapter 10 — Wiring and Checkpoint #1

Parts:

  • the Leviathan mainboard · already on the bench

Do: Find the jumper block silkscreened Voltage selection for Z-Probe and Fans, next to the fan headers. All five positions, Probe, Fan0, Fan1, Fan2, Fan3, must be bare.

Check

Five empty jumper pairs. Count them.

What you're looking at

The Leviathan is LDO's mainboard: it drives six motors, reads the bed thermistor and endstops, and supplies the Raspberry Pi with 5 V. Its jumper block is five pin pairs choosing 24 V or 5 V for the probe port and four fan ports.

Caution

Rev D+ / LDO: this build uses an active toolboard, so the Leviathan's own probe port and Fan0/Fan1 stay unused and unjumpered for the whole build. A 24 V jumper on a port feeding a 5 V device destroys the device. src · Leviathan V1.3 manual p.7
