Step 10.56 — The fan-adapter header is keyed and reversed¶
Step 56 of 80 · Chapter 10 — Wiring and Checkpoint #1
Parts: none.
Do: The board-to-board interface between the Stealthburner fan adapter and the toolboard is a 2×5, 10-pin header on V2, with reversed gender and keying. V1 used 2×4, and every Rev D photo online shows that old arrangement.
Check
The Stealthburner front drops on and the header seats with no gap. If it does not, it is backwards; do not press harder.
What you're looking at
The fan-adapter PCB is the small board inside the Stealthburner front carrying the part-cooling and hotend fans; it mates to the toolboard through a pin header, not a cable. The photo is the V2 header: 2×5 pins, keyed, reversed in gender from V1.
Caution
Rev D+ / LDO: a V1 fan adapter PCB physically cannot be reused on a V2 toolboard. src — survey §4.1 ④
