Step 10.7 — Populate and label the WAGO bus

Step 7 of 80 · Chapter 10 — Wiring and Checkpoint #1

Parts:

  • the three WAGO 221-415 blocks in their mount · already on the bench
  • label maker · tool

Do: Label the three blocks left to right N, L, PE, with the label maker.

Check

Three labelled 5-way blocks, all levers up, all fifteen ports empty.

What you're looking at

WAGO 221 blocks are lever-clamp connectors. The three 5-way blocks are the machine's mains bus, one each for Neutral, Live and earth. They are physically identical, so "the blue N WAGO" means the block labelled for that wire colour, never the block's own colour.
