Do:
- Test each pair with a loose magnet first.
- Glue each magnet into its hexagon pocket, fully home: four in the handle attracting four in the latch, one in each handle end attracting one in each handle hinge.
Check
Handle and latch pull together firmly and click; both handle hinges pull to the handle; nothing standing proud of a pocket.
Helper Sorts the magnets into two polarity piles before you glue any of them in.
What you're looking at
Twelve 6 × 3 mm magnets: six in the handle, four in the latch, one in each handle hinge. The handle pulls to the latch, the hinges pull to the handle ends, so test each pair before gluing.
Tip
put a magnet on the end of a steel tool and use that to press each one into its pocket. src
