Parts:

  • side panel, PC, clear, 483×503×3 mm ×1 · Panel Kit box (carton 2)
  • corner_panel_clip_6mm ×4 · bin 11-clips-6mm
  • midspan_panel_clip_6mm ×4 · bin 11-clips-6mm
  • M3×12 SHCS ×12 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box
  • M3 hammerhead T-nut ×12 · Fasteners, Tools & Misc box

Do:

  1. Right-hand side, seen from the front. Load eight clips: two M3×12 SHCS per corner clip, one per midspan.
  2. Corners then midspans as p.241 shows; offer the panel up, tighten every clip. Front-edge midspan only snug for 11.63.

check Check

Panel flat with equal margins, and the gantry run through its full XY travel by hand touches nothing.

helperHelper Holds the side panel against the clips while you tighten them.

What you're looking at

The 6mm clips are the deeper-grooved version, sized for a 3 mm panel plus 3 mm of foam, and take the longer M3×12, two per corner clip. One midspan position on the right-hand panel's front vertical edge stays accessible for the latch at 11.63.

Caution

Side panels take M3×12 SHCS, not M3×8. The 6 mm clip is thicker and an M3×8 will not reach the hammerhead nut with any thread to spare.
