Step 11.63 — Fit the latch¶

Parts:
- the latch with its panel clip · already on the bench
- the hammerhead nut of the midspan clip it displaces · already on the bench
Do:
- Remove the midspan clip from the right-hand side panel's front vertical edge and reuse its hammerhead nut.
- Centre the latch vertically on that edge, not fully tightened yet; you move it to align the door at 11.64.
Check
Latch on the frame and still adjustable; its Panel_Clip half is holding the side panel edge exactly as the clip it replaced did.
What you're looking at
The latch is the frame-side half of the magnetic catch, and it arrives already married to the panel clip it displaces. Leaving it loose is deliberate: this is the part you slide to align the closed door in the next step.
