Everything above is done with the machine open. Do not fit the back, side or top panels or hang the door yet.
Ch 12 Part 2 (12.11–12.37) is already done — the boards were flashed and configured with the bay open, before this part closed it. Go now to Ch 13 (initial startup) — which includes the Ch 06b gantry-squaring pass and a QGL re-run. All of it needs the machine reachable from every face: STEPPER_BUZZ per motor, the XY endstop and homing checks, bed locating and the 0,0 point, PROBE_ACCURACY, dropping the Z joints and releasing the A/B tensioners for squaring.
