Step 13.14 — STEPPER_BUZZ the A and B motors¶
Step 14 of 54 with a helper · Chapter 13 — Initial startup
Parts: none.
Do: Run the two gantry commands.
Send: STEPPER_BUZZ STEPPER=stepper_x
Send: STEPPER_BUZZ STEPPER=stepper_y
Check
stepper_x moves the rear-left motor B on HV-STEPPER-0 and stepper_y the rear-right motor A on HV-STEPPER-1, both cleanly, with no grinding.
Helper Watches the two rear motors and calls out which one moved for each command.
What you're looking at
The animation shows a healthy buzz. A and B are the two rear-corner motors that drive the gantry through the crossed CoreXY belts, so neither moves a single axis by itself. The diagram's A/B panel names both: [stepper_x] is motor B, [stepper_y] is motor A.
Tip
ignore the wizard's clockwise-then-counterclockwise expectation. On CoreXY one motor's rotation direction proves nothing by eye; A/B direction is settled at Step 13.22.
