Ch 13 › Part L — Add-on: nozzle scrubber with sheet stops45 / 54

Step 13.45 — Measure the sheet height and the wiper

Step 45 of 54 with a helper · Chapter 13 — Initial startup

(no image — see text)

Parts:

  • Bambu A1 heatbed nozzle wiper ×1 · set out now, fitted later
  • digital caliper · tool

Do:

  1. Caliper body flat on the flex plate at its rear edge, depth rod down to the left extrusion top: that is H.
  2. Caliper the wiper from its base underside to the bristle tips: that is w.

check Check

Both numbers written down. Expect H near 20 mm, and w near 3.85 mm, or 4.0 mm for a clone.

helperHelper Reads both caliper values aloud and writes them on the record card.

What you're looking at

The printed parts are drawn from the bed-extrusion top up. The author's LDO stack puts the flex plate's top 20.05 mm above it; yours sets how far the brush stands proud of the sheet. The wiper's own height adds to that.

tip Tip

The wiper must be in hand for this step. Ch 00's tool list carries its buy row.
